New models for Star Wars Legion announced. Fantasy Flight Games

I have been pretty quiet on the whole Star Wars Legion front recently, and I haven’t really reported on any new releases for a few months.

Mostly this has been down to work and other factors, but partly down to other sites pushing Legion far better than I am able to.

That said there are some great things coming out over the next few months, and hopefully, Fantasy Flight Games will now have their distribution problems in hand which has plagued them for the past few months.

Two new units and two new operatives have just been announced for release later this year, with all of the new models coming from the Clone Wars era of Star Wars Legion.

New Units

First we get the announcement for two all-new units for the Grand Army of the Republic and the Separatist Alliance!

The Arc Trooper Expansion comes with seven hard plastic Arc Troopers, the elite shock troopers of the Grand Army.  Three of the models shown are equipped with the JT-12 Jetpack and swoop down from the skies to lay waste to any target, and there is optional unhelmeted heads to fit on at least two of the unit!

The BX series Battledroid Commando Expansion comes as a set of seven hard plastic models, complete with Deflector Sheilds and optional weapons.

New Operatives

Next up is the news that two new operative models are going to be released, one of which was hinted at way back in September but now is finally confirmed.

Padmé Amidala is one of best-known characters in the Star Wars lexicon and is a much loved (though loathed also) character by fans all over the world.  Wife of Anakin Skywalker and mother to Luke and Leia, Padmé Amidala is a resourceful and intelligent woman who despite her youth is a force to be reckoned with and was once the regent queen of Naboo.  The kit comes with different build options to allow you to customise the character!

Finally, we get to see the fierce and deadly bounty hunter Cad Bane!

Again made from hard plastic and with a number of options such as alternate arms and a hat, Cad Bane is a character not to be trifled with and is the number one bounty hunter in the galaxy following the death of Jango Fett!

Some great looking models coming out in the second quarter of 2020, and ideal to expand your Clone Wars era forces.
